second title

Thanks to the introduction of E-Mountain Bikes, (pedal- assisted), this has now become an activity us old timers can partake. These bikes take the "grunt" out of climbing the hills and going the distance, making it a relaxing, enjoyable ride.

E-Bikes we ride

Presently, there are two types of pedal assisted mountain bikes...
  1. Hard-tail:       starting around $2,500.00   Only has shocks in the front (no rear shock)
    1. Pro:
      1. Cheaper... around $1,000 cheaper than the full suspension models
      2. Less maintenance things to worry about
      3. You can use a rear bicycle carrier, as your back wheel is fixed.
    2. Con:
      1. Less forgiving
      2. Rougher ride
      3. A bit less weight.
  2. Full-suspension:     starting around $3,500   Has front and rear shocks.
    1. Pro:
      1. Gives you more riding confidence in rough terrain
      2. More forgiving
      3. Easier on your back... no jarring as you go over the bumps.
    2. Con:
      1. More expensive
I highly recommend readers to review the You-tube video link below, done by Electric Mountain Bike Network (EMBN)... they talk and show the difference between the two types of mountain bikes...
